Dr. Vincent Buscemi is passionate about biomimetic and airway dentistry and the immense benefits that they provide to his patients’ long-term health and well-being. After getting frustrated with the limits and, at times, negative consequences of traditional dentistry, Dr. Buscemi sought out a superior alternative to treating his patients and addressing their health needs and concerns, all while restoring their smiles.
After graduating from the prestigious University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 2014, Dr. Buscemi went on to search for an alternative to traditional dentistry. On this journey, Dr. Buscemi found a conservative and minimally invasive dental approach termed biomimetic dentistry. Through his search for an alternative to traditional dentistry, Dr. Buscemi’s passion for the link between oral and whole-body health only grew.
Because biomimetic dentistry’s primary goal is to restore a patient’s tooth to its original strength and condition using only the most advanced modern materials that are both safe and effective, while at the same time relying on a conservative clinical method, Dr. Buscemi adopted this form of dentistry for treating his patients. With Biomimetic Restorative Dentistry, Dr. Buscemi uses advanced techniques to repair broken teeth while preserving their natural structure and function. His minimally invasive approach ensures long-lasting, aesthetically pleasing results.
Dr. Buscemi also has extensive training from the Alleman Center for Biomimetic Dentistry and is a member of the Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology. Dr. Buscemi also takes great interest in how one’s nutrition can impact oral and overall health and continues to study this link.
Staying at the forefront of modern medicine, Dr. Buscemi embraces innovative, patient-centered solutions like biomimetic oral appliances, inspired by holistic dental principles, to enhance comfort and overall health. Biomimetic Oral Appliances are custom-designed to address oral health challenges such as jaw pain, breathing issues, or sleep difficulties. Dr. Buscemi offers patients a holistic path to improved wellness.
Note: Dr. Buscemi addresses symptoms associated with Impaired Mouth Syndrome, a term coined by Dr. Felix Liao, DDS, in 2017. This is not a medically recognized diagnosis but describes oral health issues that can be treated with biomimetic appliances.
When Dr. Buscemi is not practicing dentistry, he enjoys time with his wife, Norina, and loves taking part in imaginary tea parties with his four beautiful daughters: Sarafina, Antonella, Vicenza, and Santina.
